Big news for the new year!

I’ve just signed another deal with Fairwood Press to bring out a short novel called SHIFTER AND SHADOW, part of the Twelve Houses series. It’s the story so many readers have asked about over the years—what happened to Kirra and Donnal between the end of THE THIRTEENTH HOUSE and the middle of DARK MOON DEFENDER when they show up to pester Justin. Even better, it’s written from Donnal’s point of view.

I had so much fun revisiting this world, and I hope readers love the story as much as I do. The book will officially come out in September of 2025, but copies should be available at WorldCon in Seattle August 13-17. My hope is to be at WorldCon, but I haven’t actually made plans yet.

Meanwhile, in case you missed it, Fairwood also published my near-future romance-murder-mystery ALIBI back in November.
