Web update March, 2026

New News!

Oops, it’s been a long time since I updated the website!

By now, you may have seen (or read) Shifter and Shadow, which finally tells the story of Kirra and Donnal from the Twelve Houses world. I had a chance to read from it last year when I attended WorldCon and did a group reading with a bunch of other authors from Fairwood Press. It was so much fun.

What I’m working on now is a collection of short fiction and poetry, which will be coming out from Fairwood Press this fall. I’m tentatively calling it Tropes because it will touch on all kinds of fantastical themes—unicorns, shape-shifters, reincarnation, ghosts, haunted houses, elemental magic. I’m expecting it to include two novellas, three short stories, and a handful of poems. One of the novellas will be set in the Elemental Blessings world and it has turned out to be a story that I just simply love. Two of the short stories have appeared in recent anthologies. Everything else is new.

My plan is to attend World Fantasy Convention in Oakland October 22-25. Tropes ought to be available there if that gives you an incentive to attend!

A seller on Etsy has also recently began offering wood and metal blessings, and they’re absolutely gorgeous! I have three of her sets.
